Meghana trained in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the Oxford Deanery and was Visiting Lecturer in Urogynaecology at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Meghana was Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Clinical Director and then Divisional Director at Milton Keynes before joining University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) where Meghana was Chief Medical Officer from May 2012 to December 2018 and Deputy Chief Executive from 2014. Meghana completed MBA from Oxford Brookes University (distinction) and the Innovating Health for Tomorrow Programme at INSEAD, Fontainebleau. Meghana was awarded the Founding Senior Fellowship of the Faculty of Medical Management and Leadership and is Honorary Professor at Warwick University. Meghana is Associate Fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford and Non-Executive Director and member of the Council of the Medical Protection Society. 

As Chief Medical Officer at Oxford University Hospitals, Meghana had responsibility for Clinical Safety and Outcomes, Infection Prevention & Control, Medical Education, and Research & Development. She was also Responsible Officer for over 1000 doctors.  

Since 1 July 2022, Meghana is the Chief Executive Officer at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
